Refund Policy

Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Experience Days & Practical Courses

  • Deposit Requirement: A non-refundable deposit of £25.00 is required at the time of booking to secure your time slot.

  • Remaining Balance: The outstanding balance of £50.00 is strictly due on the day of your practical experience. Payment can be made via cash or mobile card reader prior to the session commencing.

  • Mandatory Safety Briefing: Attendance at the pre-experience evening safety briefing is mandatory. Failure to attend this briefing will result in immediate forfeiture of your booking under the "No-Show" terms below.

Cancellation & Weather Policy

1. Weather & Force Majeure: Honeybees cannot safely be flown or inspected in poor weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, high winds, or low temperatures).

  • We will endeavor to notify you at least 24 hours prior to your session if a weather-related cancellation is necessary.

  • In the event of an unsafe weather forecast, an enforced apiary disease shutdown, or other unforeseeable operational issues, we will offer alternative dates to reschedule. If a mutually agreeable date cannot be found, your £25.00 deposit will be refunded 100% in full.

2. Customer Cancellations:

  • 7+ Days’ Notice: Your deposit is non-refundable but may be fully transferred to an alternative experience date within the current season.

  • Less than 48 Hours’ Notice (or No-Show): If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, fail to attend the mandatory evening safety brief, or fail to show up on the day, your deposit is entirely non-refundable and non-transferable.

2. Honey & Hive Product Sales

  • Perishable Goods: Due to the food-grade nature of honey and hive products, all sales are final once opened.

  • Damaged or Faulty Items: If a jar or container is damaged, leaking, or faulty upon collection or delivery, please notify us within 48 hours with photographic evidence to receive a full replacement or refund.

3. Hive Management & Extraction Services

  • Service Deposits: Deposits or retainer fees paid toward contracted hive management, consultation callouts, or seasonal extraction bookings are non-refundable once the date has been locked into our calendar.

  • Management Plan Cancellations: Cancellations for ongoing 6 or 12-month hive management contracts are subject to the specific termination notice periods outlined in your master Service Agreement.

  • Low-Yield Extraction: As outlined in the Extraction Terms, setup fees (£30.00) apply regardless of honey yield if frames are processed; refunds are not issued for poor seasonal crop yields or heavily crystallized frames.
